睫毛内反症に続発した角膜アミロイドーシス

A case of corneal amyloidosis secondary to entropion

　23歳男性が右眼角膜の白色腫瘤で受診した。幼少時から右眼下眼瞼に睫毛内反症があり，右眼角膜の瞳孔領の下方に3×4mm大の膠様滴状の白色腫瘤があったが，視力は良好であった。病理学的に角膜アミロイドーシスと診断した。免疫組織化学と電子顕微鏡検査で発症原因についての新知見は得られなかったが，睫毛内反症に続発したと推定された。われわれの知る限り，角膜アミロイドーシスとしては最若年例であり，睫毛内反症に続発したことを明記した最初の報告である。

A 23-year-old male was referred to us for a white tumor in his right cornea. He had entropion in his right lower eyelid since childhood. He had full visual acuity. A gelatinous white tumor, 3×4 mm in size, was located in the lower portion of the right cornea. Histopathological studies led to the diagnosis of corneal amyloidosis. It appeared to have developed secondary to entropion after immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy failed to identify its etiology. To our best knowledge, this is the youngest case of corneal amyloidosis and is the first one induced by entropion.
