眼底疾患への高気圧酸素療法の応用（その1）

Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy for retinal diseases. Part 1

　網膜動脈閉塞症などの急性虚血性疾患5例5眼，糖尿病網膜症，網膜静脈閉塞症などに伴う黄斑浮腫9例13眼に対し，2絶対気圧，60分間の高気圧酸素療法（HBO）を1日1回，10回を目安として行った。急性虚血性疾患群では全例で視力が改善した。糖尿病性黄斑浮腫のHBO有効率は12.5％と低く，浮腫の持続期間がその一因と考えられた。有効例ではHBO 5回目には全例で改善がみられ，HBOへの反応により施行回数を決定する必要があり，HBO終了後の視力低下への対策が今後の課題である。

We treated 14 cases, 18 eyes, with hyperbaricoxygenation therapy. The series comprised acuteretinal ischemic disorders 5 eyes and macularedema secondary to diabetic retinopathy or retinalvenous occlusion 13 eyes. The treatment was per-formed under 2.0 atmospheric pressure for 1 hourto be repeated for a total of 10 days. Visual acuityimproved in all the eyes with acute ischemic dis-orders. Visual acuity in eyes with diabetic macularedema improved in one eye, 13%. In all the favor-able cases, improvement in visual acuity attained apoint of saturation after a maximum of 5 sessionsof hyperbaric oxygenation.
