A prototype of apparatus for objective assessment of stereoscopic vision

　テレビとパソコンとハーフミラーを用いたステレオテストを試作した。正常成人6例において，オクルダーを用いて視力を変化させ視力の左右差による立体視の変化を調べた。非優位眼の視力が低下すると，立体視陽性率は低下した。又，臨床33例において，シノプトフォア（以下シノプト）と本法とで立体視の測定を行った。29例では，両方法とも一致した結果がえられたが，4例では本法のみ測定可能であった。

We designed and built a prototype of apparatus for objective measurement of stereopsis by incor-porating two visual display terminals and a half mirror. Stereoscopic vision was measured in 6 healthy adults by changing the visual acuity in one 'eye with an occluder. There was a decrease in the rate of stereopsis along with a decrease in the visual acuity of non dominant eye. We applied themethod to a group of 33 patients with strabismus or amblyopia and compared the findings obtained by synoptophore. Both methods showed similar results in 29 patients, while our method only was successful in 4 patients. our apparatus seemed to be of particu-lar value in the evaluation of stereopsis in infants.
