We evaluated the bandage effect of a megasoft bandage lens applied for 2 days after trabeculectomy with mitomicin C in 11 eyes of glaucoma. The series comprised open-angle glaucoma 9 eyes and closed-angle glaucoma 2 eyes. The intraocular pressure averaged 2.96±0.44 mm before and 2.77±0.62mmHg 3 days after surgery. The anterior chamber depth averaged 19.5±0.46 mm before surgery, 7.6±2.2mmHg at 7 days and 14.1±2.8 mmHg at 12 months after surgery. Complications due to contact lens wear were consistently absent.
