Purpose: To evaluate the imprecation of myopia on findings by frequency doubling perimetry (FDP), a newly developed screening method for glaucome Cases and Method : We used FDP C-20 program and 30-2 program for white on white perimetry in the Humphrey Field Analyzer. The cases comprised 40 eyes 40 persons. All the eyes had good visual acuity and no glaucoma. The ages ranged from 23 to 34 years, average 27 years. The refraction ranged from 0 to -12 diopters (D), average-4.19D.

Result : Both eye mean deviation and mean threshold by Humphrey Field Analyzer decreased along with increase in refractive error. The refractive error did not influence the mean deviation, pattern standard deviation or mean threshold of FDP.

Conclusion : Presence of myopia does not affect the findings in the screening for glaucoma using FDP.
