Abstract. Purpose:To report three cases of luxated crystalline lens treated by intravitreal torsional phacoemulsification. Cases and Method:Two eyes developed lens luxation during cataract surgery. Another case showed lens luxation in an eye with iris and choroidal coloboma. All the 3 eyes were treated by 3-port vitrectomy followed by torsional pars plana phacoemulsification of luxated lens. Results:This technique seemed to result in lesser retinal damage by bouncing of the lens. There has been no complication until present. Conclusion:Intravitreal luxation of the lens can be treated with minimum insult by pars plana intravitreal torsional phacoemulsification.
