　エキシマレーザー屈折矯正術（photorefractive keratectomy：PRK）を施行した27例39眼を対象に，術後12か月の時点で角膜上皮下混濁の程度と目標矯正度数からの屈折度数の偏位および矯正視力との関連を検討した。角膜上皮下混濁の程度は前眼部解析装置EAS-1000^®を用いて，角膜上皮下の散乱光強度測定により定量化した。その結果，角膜散乱光強度が強いほど術後再近視化傾向が有意に強いことが判明した（r＝−0.73，p＜0.001）。しかし角膜散乱光強度と矯正視力との間には有意な相関を認めなかった。PRK術後の上皮下混濁は矯正視力に有意の影響は与えないが，矯正精度と密接な関連があると考えられた。

Photorefractive keratectomy by excimer laser was performed in 39 eyes. These eyes were evaluated for subepithelial corneal opacity 12 months after surgery. An anterior segment analysis system, EAS-1000^TM, was used in the evaluation. The corneal opacity was assessed by measuring the light scatter by photodensitometry. A significant correlation was present between the intensiting of light scatter and myopic regression (r=-0.73, p＜0.001) . The intensity of corneal opacity was not correlated with the corrected visual acuity.
