Blood flow volume measured by laser Doppler flowmeter

　レーザー・ドップラー法を用いて，結膜の局所血流量および前毛様動脈の血流量を測定した。老人性白内障以外に特に眼疾患を有しない49眼を対象とし，輪部結膜，および強膜穿入部付近の前毛様動脈において測定を行った。さらに，星状神経節ブロックを施行した患者に対して，ブロック施行前と施行後において同様の測定を行った。結膜血流量の平均値は，144.0±59.3perfusion unit （PU）から217.5±83.6PUの範囲にあり，前毛様動脈の平均血流量は617.3±159.5PUであった。星状神経節ブロック施行例では，施行5分後より前毛様動脈の血流量が1.5倍から2倍に上昇した。本法は前眼部各所の血流量を，非侵襲的かつ簡便に測定しうる測定法であると思われた。

We quantified the blood flow volume in the bulbar conjunctiva and the anterior ciliary artery in 49 eyes. The eyes were free of diseases except senile cataract. A laser Doppler flowmeter was used in the measurement. The blood flow in the bulbar conjunctiva ranged from 144.0±59.3 PU (perfusion units) to 217.5±83.6 PU. The blood flow in the anterior ciliary artery averaged 617.3±159.5 PU. The blood flow in the anterior ciliary artery increased by 50 to 100% after therapeutic blockage of the stellate ganglion in 2 eyes. The current method was easy, noninvasive and useful in quantitating the blood flow volume in the ocular surface.
