網膜静脈閉塞症における原発緑内障の合併頻度

Incidence of association of retinal vein occlusion with primary open angle glaucoma

　網膜静脈閉塞症に原発緑内障の合併頻度が高いとの報告が欧米で散見される。過去12年間に当科を受診した網膜中心静脈閉塞症（CRVO）および分枝閉塞症（BRVO）の1,208例のうち249例につき原発緑内障（GL）の合併頻度をretrospectiveに調査した。GLには，開放隅角緑内障（POAG）と正常眼圧緑内障を含めた。CRVO 72例の19.5％がGL （うちPOAGが92.8％），8.3％が疑いであった。BRVO 177例の3.4％がGL （うちPOAGが100％），4.5％が疑いであった。日本人においても，CRVOとGLの合併頻度は高率と考えられる。

We reviewed 72 eyes of central retinal vein occlcusion (CRVO) and 177 eyes of branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) regarding the association of primary open angle glaucoma including normal tension glaucoma. Definite glaucoma, predominantly primary open angle glaucoma, was present in 19.5% of CRVO and in 3.4% of BRVO patients. Incidence of primary glaucoma in the present series was significantly higher than in normal adult population in Japan.
