  • Look Inside

A 54-year-old female presented with painful lesion in the upper bulbar conjunctiva in the left eye. Slitlamp examination showed dilated conjun-ctival vessels and a semitranslucent mobile mass in the subconjunctival space. The tumor was surgi-cally removed. Histopathologically, the stroma was composed of massive mucous substance. Tumor cells were sparse and were spindle-shaped with elongated cytoplasmic processes. Cytoplasmic vacuoles were occasionally present in the stromal cells. The stroma stained with Alcian blue and was digested after pretreatment with hyluronidase. There has been no recurrence during 48 months after surgical removal.
