涙液中ラクトフェリン濃度の正常値

Lactoferrin content in the tear fluid in normal eyes

　自覚的に異物感や充血などのドライアイ症状がなく，通常の細隙灯顕微鏡で異常が認められず，さらにフルオレセイン，ローズベンガル染色において角結膜が染色されない285眼を対象として，涙液中ラクトフェリン濃度の正常値を検討した。ラクトフェリン濃度の測定には，免疫拡散法を応用した測定キットであるラクトプレート^®を用いた。285眼における平均値は1.74±0.68mg/mlであり，加齢とともに減少する傾向が認められた。涙液中ラクトフェリン濃度の評価は，年齢を考慮して行う必要があると考えられた。

We performed a multiinstitutional study to evaluate the lactoferrin concentration in 285 healthy persons in 5 regions in Japan. All the subjects were free of signs or symptoms suggestive of dry eye, showed normal findings by slitlamp microscopy and stained negative with fluorescein or rose bengal. The lactoferrin concentration averaged 1.74 ± 0.68 mg/ml. The value tended to decrease along with ageing, particularly after 50 years.
