増殖性硝子体網膜症術後の黄斑上膜に対する増殖膜剥離の有効性

Peeling of epimacular membrane secondary to surgery for proliferative vitreoretinopathy

　1989年7月から1990年6月の期間に国立大阪病院眼科において，増殖性硝子体網膜症の硝子体手術後に発症した黄斑上膜5眼に対して，増殖膜剥離を行った。増殖膜の除去は全例で可能であった。術後全例で2段階以上の視力改善が得られた。増殖性硝子体網膜症の硝子体手術後に発症する黄斑上膜は視力予後不良の一因と考えられるので，可能な限り増殖膜剥離を行い除去すべきである。

We performed membrane peeling in 5 eyes with epimacular proliferation which developed after pars plana vitrectomy for proliferative vitreoretinopathy. The epimacular membranecould be removed in all the eyes, resulting in improvement in vision by 2 steps more. Epimacular proliferation is one of the factors for poor visual outcome after surgery for proliferative vitreor-etinopathy. We advocate surgical peeling of the membrane whenever feasible.
