We quantitated the deviation and inclination of implanted intraocular lens (IOL) in the posterior chamber by means of photographic image process-ing.

In 74 eyes, after an average of 6.8 months aftersurgery, the inclination ranged from 0.08 to 6.93 degrees, and the deviation from 0.21 to 3.02 mm from the center. These values did not affect the postoperative visual acuity.

In 64 eyes, the distance between the posterior surface of IOL and the posterior lens capsule ran-ged from 50 to 675μm. In 67% of the eyes, the distance was 50μm or less.
