スペキュラーマイクロスコピーによる眼内レンズ表面仕上げの検査

Examination of the finishing of intraocular lenses by specular microscopy

　スペキュラーマイクロスコープを用いて行う眼内レンズ表面仕上げの検査法とその結果を報告した．現在移植されている各メーカーの後房レンズには，一部を除いて，表面の汚れ，面精度不良，表面研磨痕や圧痕，光学部エッジ不整，ポジショニングホールの仕上げ不良などを示すものが多い．本結果は，メーカー側による品質管理徹底の必要性とともに，術者側もレンズ品質について十分注意する必要のあることを示した．

We examined the finishing of posterior chamber lenses with the use of specular microscopy. Products by 9 manufacturers were tested. We could detect surface contamination, wavy reflex suggesting ir-regular surface, polishing marks, sharp lens edges, and irregular edges of the positioning holes in themajority of the lenses.

Our findings indicate that the finishing of the currently available intraocular lenses are not per-fect when thus examined. Ophthalmic surgeons are warned over the present, less-than-ideal standard of lens finish.
