1983年6月末現在で,国内で,vitreous fluorophotometryの目的で使用されている螢光光度計3機種(Fluorotron Master, Fluoromet, Gamma-Inami)について,その検量限界,精度,Tailing effectについて比較検討した。検量限界は市販の状態では, FluorotronMasterがもっともすぐれていたが,光電子増倍管を電子冷却素子により冷却したGamma—Inamiでは,10倍以上のS/Nの改善がみられた。
Tailing effectは, Fluorotron MasterとGamma-Inamiでは,優劣がつけられないが,Fluorometは約2倍の範囲にTailingがみられた。
The lower limit of detection (in vitro), sensiti-vity ratio (s/n), and so-called tailing effect, which may be major artifactorial factor caused by pseudo-fluorescence and intraocular focal diamond con-sisting of exciting and emitting beams, was evalu-ated with three models of commercially available vitreous fluorophotometers (Gamma-Inami, Fluoro-tron Master, Fluoromet). Three models had suffi-cient ability to detect subtle intraocular fluorescen-ce, and further minor modifications such as photo-multiplier cooling improved s/n remarkably.
We found the tailing effect was wider in Fluoro-met than other two apparatuses.
