白内障術後遠用矯正眼鏡のoptical interpupillary distanceの設定につぎ,Maddoxrod testを用いて検討し以下の結論を得た。
(1)両眼無水晶体眼患者の自己眼鏡装用の際の眼位は,約70%が内斜位,1396が正位,17%が外斜位であった。
(2)正位となるよう調整したoptical interpupillary distanceの値は,全例において角膜反射で測定したanatomical interpupillary distanceより大きく,この眼鏡を用いた時の装用感が最も快適であった。
In prescribing aphakic spectacles for distance, the anatomical interpupillary distance (PD) is frequently used as the optical PD. Several cases complain of discomfort while wearing such spec-tacles. We evaluated a more proper means to deter-mine the suitable optical PD of aphakic spectacles for distance.
A series of 23 aphakic subjects were tested as to their eye position with their aphakic spectacles on by 5m Maddox rod test. Sixteen cases (70%) were esophoric, 3 (13%) were orthophoric and 4 (17%) were exophoric.
