今回試用した10MHzは高速リニア電子スキャン超音波診断装置は,従来の眼科用高速機械スキャン装置に比べ,多くの症例において,分解能や階調性の点で優れていることが確認され,振動,騒音もなく,熟練を要せず,簡易,迅速な操作性に優れていた。更に電子的操作により眼内計測にも便利で,Bモード断層像の動的解析や,Aモード同時表示による組織鑑別(tissue differentiation)も可能であった。以上の諸特性をそなえた本装置は眼科の臨床診断上にも十分有用と考えられた。
We tested the feasibility of newly developed 10 MHz linear array ultrasound diagnostic equipment, which was developed by Matsusita Research In-stitute Tokyo, Inc., as a diagnostic tool in clinical ophthalmology. The equipment was judged as superior in resolution, gray scale image and flexi-bility in applications to the mechanical sector-scanning ultrasound equipments currently in use. Noise and vibrations could be minimized with the use of tranducers. It can be used in A, B and M modes. The whole view of the eyeglobe can be ob-tained with the use of water-bath applicator.
