We observed large capillary or venous aneurysms (Schulman et al., 1981) in 21 patients with old retinal branch vein occulusion.

Morphologically, the large retinal capillary an-eurysms appeared as saccular, beading, looping or fusiform varying from 150 to 800 pm in diameter. They ranged from dark red, red, orange to white in color. The neighboring retina often demonstrated a variety of changes including small regional hem-orrhages, edema, hard exudates, circinate lesions, serous retinal detachment, or vitreous hemorrhage.

In fluorescein angiography, the large aneu-rysms stained intensively.
