　東京大学眼科を受診したベーチェット病患者27例の眼発作59回を対象に，CRP，赤沈，眼外症状，好中球数の変動を調べ次の結果を得た。

（1） CRPは発作前後に上昇し直前最高となるのに対し，赤沈は発作と関係しなかった。

（2） CRPと眼外症状の間に一定の関係はみられなかった。

（3）発作直前CRP上昇か好中球数増加のいずれかがみられたのは81.4％，CRP上昇のみが64.4％，好中球数増加のみは69.5％であった。

（4） CRP上昇後の発作発生率は59.1％で好中球数増加後（65.7％）と類似し，CRP上昇に好中球数増加を伴う場合はさらに高率（81.6％）に発作が発生した。

（5） CRPは好中球数とともに眼発作予知の有力な指標と考えられる。

We followed up 27 cases of Behçet's disease with a total of 59 acute ocular attacks. We evaluated the possible correlation of C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), number of neutrophil leucocytes in the venous blood and systemic manifestations of the disease with the onset of attacks. An increase in CRP oc-curred before and during the attacks showing the highest value just prior to the attacks. Ocular at-tacks occurred in 59% of instances immediately after an increase in CRP and in 66% after an in-crease in the number of neutrophils.
