無水晶体眼矯正のmodulation transfer function （MTF）による評価

The evaluation of correction of the aphakic eye by measuring modulation transfer function of the human visual system

　無水晶体眼に対する種々の矯正法を精密に検討する目的で，眼鏡および各種コンタクトレンズによる矯正状態で視覚系のmodulation transfer function （MTF）を測定した。MTFによれば，視力値よりも精密に屈折矯正状態の微細な変化を検討できる。測定結果では，無水晶体眼に対する矯正において，コンタクトレンズによる矯正が眼鏡レンズによる矯正より光学的にすぐれており，また，コンタクトレンズによる矯正ではsoftcontact lens （SCL）よりhard contact Iens （HCL），さらに眼鏡レンズによる矯正では球面レンズより非球面レンズによる矯正が光学的にすぐれていることが確認された。

Aphakic eye is usually corrected with a contact lens or spectacle lens except a few cases corrected by intraocular lens. Generally the evaluation of the optical correction of the aphakic eye is madeby measuring visual acuity using the Snellen chart and some other pototypes.

Recently Modulation Transfer Function of the human visual system have been applied to clinical ophthalmology, and the importance of measuring MTF in regards to optical errors have been iv-ported.
