Long-term effects of trabeculectomy

　1）信州大学眼科で施行したTrabcculectomyの成績は79％であった。病型別では原発性開放隅角が90％，原発性閉塞隅角が89％，先天性が60％，続発性が72％，水晶体嚢性は4眼中3眼であった。

　2）術後60％の症例に眼圧の再上昇が見られたが，39％は薬剤使用によりコントロール可能となった。再上昇の時期は大部分6カ月以内であった。

　3）術前のC値の良い症例，術中強膜の縫合にデキソンを用いた例，徳後のbleb形成された症例などにおいて眼圧のコントロールが良好であった。

　4）視野は，術後眼圧がコントロールされても経過観察中に悪化を示す例があった。

　5）重篤な合併症は少なかった。

An evaluation was made on postsurgical effects of trabeculectomy in 99 eyes (79 cases) with various types of primary and secondary glaucoma. The follow-up period was 6 months and over and averaged 2 years.

The intraocular pressure was controlled below 20 mmHg in 40% of the cases without medication and in 79% with additional medication. An additional medication was needed in 90% of primary open angle glaucoma, 89% of primary angle closure glaucoma, 60% of congenital glauco-ma and 72% of secondary glaucoma.
