Typical unilateral Purtscher's retinopathy devel-oped in a 44-year-old male following severe compression injury to the chest during a major earthquake. When seen one day after the acci-dent, the left eye showed numerous fluffy white exudates around the optic disc. Fundus hemor-rhage was absent. Fluorescein angiography revealed multiple capillary non-perfusion areas followed by leakage of dye corresponding to the sites of exudates. One week after the accident, several flame-shaped hemorrhages were present around the exudates in the left eye.
