Chloroquine retinopathyの1剖検例

A case of chloroquine retinopathy with histopathological findings and determination of chloroquine concentrations of various body tissue

緒　言

　Chloroquine retinopathyは1959年Hobbsら^1）により初めて報告されて以来，多くの報告がなされて来た。chloroquin （以下chl．と省略）は，網脈絡膜に大量に蓄積し，網膜は不可逆的な破壊を受けることが知られている。人についての剖検報告も既に見られるが，われわれも1例を経験したので報告する。わが国では本症の剖検例はまだない。

The histopathology of chloroquine retinopathy has been reported by many authors but this paper presents the chloroquine concentrations of various body tissues including the eye.

The patient was a 40 year old Japanese male to whom a total of 287.6 grams of chlorquine had been administered orer a period of 3 years and 7 months for chronic nephritis.

On August 11, 1971 the patient came to our clinic complaining of night bilndness and nar-rowing of the visual field. His visual field was constricted to about 5 degrees bilaterally. His visual acuity was 1.0 with miopic astigmatism bilaterlly.
