Studies on accommodation:(II) Method

I．緒言

　調節機能には種々な要素が含まれているが生理的な面からこれを老えると，調節幅（屈折状態を変動できる範囲）と調節時間（屈折状態の変動に要する時間）の二つの要素が重要な意味をもつと考えられる。

　さきに私らは，

　1)　半透鏡面を有する複合プリズムを用いて視線の移動を避け,

　2)光源を瞬間的に切り変えて視標の交換に代え,

　3)　レンズのみを用いて視標を移動させずに,すべての屈折状態(屈折異常者も含めて)を容易に実現し,

　4)　第2視標の点灯時間を段階的に変えて,反応時間を含まずに調節時間を測定する

Accommodation time is revealed to be influenced by the choice of starting and end states of accommodation within the accommodative range of the examinee. Using a new accommodometer developed by the authors, an attempt is made to decide the most suitable refractive state corresponding to the start and end of accommodation in our clinical exam-ination, revealing the following results.

1) The use of a newly developed accommodometer results in describing all refractive states on the diopter scale, enabling us to express accommodation by changes in refractive states.
