シノミン点眼液について—その抗菌力・安定性および臨床経験

はしがき

　1935年DomarkによるProntosilの発見に始まつたサルファ剤の研究はSulfa-thiazole,Sulfa-diazineに至りその頂点に達したが，その後のFlemingにょるPenicillinの発見に引続いた抗生物質の目覚しい発展の蔭にその化学療法剤としての価値を忘れられていた感があつた。然るに最近，新らしい持続性サルファ剤の登場をみたので，それが化学療法の分野に占める地位についてはもう一度検討されて然るべきときがやつて来たものと思う。

　持続性サルファ剤（Long-acting Sulfa-drugs）の一つである5-Methyl-3-Sulfanilamide-isoxa-sole （シノミン）は，その広い抗菌性と臨床使用上における種々の有利な条件とによつて優れたサルファ剤であり，眼科的局所剤として採りあげてよい製剤であると考える。

An ophthalmic solution of "Sinomin" is prepared with the sodium salt of "Sinomin" (5-methyl-3-sulfanilamido-isoxazole) in 4 and 10%. Results of its stabilities and efficacy in clinical cases are as follows :

1) pH of 4 and 10% solution are 8.9 and 9.1 respectively. After storage at room tempera-ture for 1 month the pH decreases to some extent but antibacterial activity does not show any decrdase in vitro. The solution merely becomes slightly yellowish but shows no re-markable changes macroscopically.
