プレドニンの局所使用時の濃度について

The concentration of Predonine in the local treatment

　プレドニン（以下P．と略す）の諸種眼疾患に対する全身投与の効果に就ては既に報告した（臨眼，11巻7号）。本剤の局所使用に就ても，最近内外の報告例を見るが，その濃度に関しては，夫々実験者によつてまちまちである。全身投与量については，大体その基準が成立しているので，局所使用に際しても，大体の基準濃度が定められる必要がある。一般的に見て，欧米に於ては使用濃度が高く，本邦に於ては効果の期待し得る最低濃度を迫及している傾向が窺えるが，国民経済の影響による当然の研究傾向とも言い得る。

　全身投与に於て，Pがコーチゾン（以下Cと略す）の略々5倍の効力を有することを知つたのであるが，局所使用時にもこの関係が成立するであろうか。これを立証するのが本研究の主眼であつた。動物実験と平行して，臨床的にも実験を進め一定の結論を得たので茲に報告する。以下吾々が記述するものは至適濃度ではなく，寧ろ，効果が期待され得る最低限界附近の濃度である。

As for the minimum concentration in which it is expected to be effective, we got the following results through the animal and clinical experiments.

1) The effect of Predonine, in both ophthalmic ointment and ophthalmic suspension, see-med to be 5 times as much as that of Cortisone.

2) As for the effective minimum concentration of Predonine, in local application ophtha-lmic ointment, it has enough effect at 0.25%, in ophthalmic suspension, at 0.05%.

3) We did not find any side-effect in the concentration we used.
