I．緒言

トラコーマ結膜嚢内共棲細菌に就て，主として其のトラコーマ炎症症状に如何なる影響を及ぼしているかと云う事を検討する目的で，私は第1報に於て結膜嚢内共棲細菌の菌種，分布状態其の他を報告し，第2報に於て其の嫌気性発育菌の状態を検し，第3報に於て最も高頻度に証明される葡萄状球菌に就ての諸種抗生物質に対する感受性に就ての実験成績を非トラコーマ眼のそれと各々対照しつつ観察して来たのである。本篇に於ては更に研究を進め下記数種の実験により共棲細菌とトラコーマ結膜炎症症状の関係に就て観察を加えた結果を報告する次第である。即ち

　1）トラコーマ結膜嚢内共棲葡萄状球菌のCoagulaseTest成績。

The influence of bacterial flora in tne trachomatous conjunctiva to the symptoms of tra-choma was studied experimentally by several ways.

1) Coagulase test positive staphylococci were usually demonstrated from trachomatous conjunctiva but were not from healthy and non trachomatous conjunctivae.

2) To remove the contaminated bacterial flora, topical administration of streptmycin-polymixin combination and streptmycin-bacitracin combination was performed in cases of trachoma and trochoma dubium. These antibiotics were not effective to trachoma virus.
