トラコーマ結膜嚢内に共棲する細菌に就て（第二報）—トラコーマ結膜嚢内に共棲する嫌気性菌に就いて

On the commensal anaeobic bacteria in the conjunctival sac of trachoma

緒言

　トラコーマ結膜嚢内共棲菌の問題に関しては従来幾多の業績が見られ，共棲菌の菌種，発現頻度等に関しては精細な報告を多数認める。私はトラコーマ結膜嚢内共棲菌に就て種々検索を行うと同時に其のトラコーマ症状に対する影響に就て観察を続けているが，本編に於ては，嫌気性に発育する菌に関して観察した結果を述べ度いと思う。

The freqrency and kinds of bacteria were examined in 181 trachomatous eyes, 73 tracho-ma dubium, 6 experimental acute trachoma, and 61 healthy eyes as a control (diagnosed according to W.H.O. classification). Each group, except the group of acute trachoma, which showed low frequency, showed no marked difference in frequency of bacteria-identi-fication. A relation between anaerobic and aerobic bacteria was, also examined, namely staphplococci and corynebacterium xerosis had the same trend in their cultivation.
