異常長睫毛の1例

A case of an abnormally long eye-lash

　異常に長い睫毛には全睫毛列にわたつて異常に長いものと，1本又は数本の睫毛の異常に長いものとがある。わが国において前者に属するものとしては荘司^7）を始めとして，最近の梶原^15）に至るまで多数の報告があるが，後者については，佐藤^3），山中^4），内田^5），瀨木^5），豊田^6），三口^9），浅田^11）田村^14）等8例の報告があるのみである。私は最近老人性白内障のための視力障害を訴えて来院した一老婦人に，異常に長い1本の睫毛を発見したので，簡単に追加報告したいと思う。

An abnormally long eye lash was found at the middle of the right upper lid in a 75 years old woman suffering from senile cataract. The eye lash was 34mm long and of a normal thickness. It was of normal color in the proximal one third and gray in the distal two thirds. The abnormal growth of the eye lash was observed to be a local change. The etiology of this anomaly was obscure.
