訓練による弱視の治療，特にContact lensの応用について

Treatment of amblyopia by training and the application of contact lens

I．緒言

　弱視に対する治療は現在，欧米眼科学会における重要な研究テーマの1つであるが，我国ではまだ見るべき業績のはなはだ少いのは遺憾である。

　一眼にのみ屈折異常がある不同視眼とか，正常の発育を完成すべき時期に，斜視や中間透光体の溷濁のため視機能の発育が障碍されて起つたとみられるいわゆる廃用性弱視眼を強制的に使用せしめて視力を恢復させようという方法は古くからある。すなわち1743年Buffonが提唱したOcclu-sivmethodeであつて，現在もDauerverbaudは有効な方法として用いられている。しかしこの方法は消極的であり，且中心固視の存在が確認されているときにのみ行い得る。更に連続的に視力の良い眼を包帯するから患者が日常生活に非常な不便を味わなければならないという欠点を有している。

Sixty seven cases with unilateral amblyopia accompanied with non-strabismic central fixation were trained with a modification of Clipper's method for the improvement of the visual acuity. The visual acuity of 30 cases was recovered above 0.8 and that of 35 cases more or less improved. Thirty cases among 67, which, were accompanied with advanced myopia, anisometropia or irregular astigmatism, were traind by wearing contact lens. Contact lens is very valuable in treatment of amblyopia as a supplementation. A new method called "2-hours. test" was devised for predicting the effect of the treatment.
