A Study on Contact lens (II)

緒言

　Contact Lens （C．L）の近視に対する応用は既に多くの人々によつて認められて居る所である。然し乍ら5米視力，近距離（30糎）視力，及び近点に就いての報告は少い。私は視機能的に扱つて一連の実験を行つたので報告したい。

　実験対象，17歳，18歳の男子高校生100名，174の近視眼に就いて行つた。実験に使用したC．Lは水谷氏のM．T式C．Lである。

The measurement of naked vision, corrected vision with ordinary glasses and contact lens, near vision at 5m, and the near point was performed in high school students with myopia of 0.25-20D.

(1) Vision at 5m.

1. Vision was corrected near normal with ordinary glasses in myopia up to PD, and with contacy lens up to 12D.

2. In myopia of 0.25—4.75D, the correcting power of contact lens was superior to that of the ordinary glasses in 17.4% of the cases, inferior in 16.7% and similar in 66%.

3. In myopia of 4.75—20D, the correcting power of contact lens was superior to that of the ordinary glasses in 50%, and similar in the rest.
