Pathology of the eye with Behçet's syndrome

緒言

　期待していた中川博士の講演を聴き得ぬことになつたのは誠に残念であるが，私として辛い事は更に緊急事態の拾得の仕事が依頼された事で準備も充分時間がないので，今回の話は聞きくるしい点があると思うが，その点御了解願いたい。

　Behçet氏症候群（以下Behçet氏病とす）が葡萄膜炎に於て占める頻度は非常に高いものがある。現在吾々は葡萄膜炎の性質を結核とつける事は稀であり梅毒性という事は極めて少ない，交感性眼炎，原田氏病の診断を下す場合の方が寧ろ多いようになつている。この間の事情は私が早くから予想し^1），東大教室の諸兄^2）が数次にわたつて指摘した所，更に来春の日眼総会に於て萩原教授が特別講演により総括的に明かにされられることと思う。

The Auther reported 8 cases of Behcet's syndrom. All of them were severely damaged at the retina. At the early stage, the retina was suffered from lysis by unknown factor The parenchymal cells disappeared thoroughly, at late stage only glial fibers were reserved. Then the inflammations with haemmorrhge and tissue necrosis (Arthus type) were observe, in the detached retina. The detail in english will be issued on the Jap. J. of Ophth.
