Recently bacterial ocular diseases have decreased since the appearance of various kinds of antibiotics, but the same cannot be said of diseases caused by staphylococcus due to its strong pathogenity, to the human body.

The following cases may support the above fact :

Case 1 suffered from peridacryocystitis acuta at first which developed into maxillary os-teomyelitis and later to orbitalphlegmosis inspite of the use of achromycin. Th.e author examinen the sensitivity of staphylococcus against various antibiotics and found out thatIlotycid and Oleandomycin were the most sensitive.
