眼球外傷による破傷風の1症例

A case of tetanus due to trauma on the bulbus

　本邦における眼部外傷による破傷風の報告例は，大正4年奥瀨氏の報告をはじめとして，小数の報告を見るに過ぎない。近年における報告は教室の高橋等と楠本氏等による2例があるが，その多くのものが眼球及び眼球外組織又は眼球外組織のみの損傷によるもので，眼球のみの損傷によつて破傷風を引き起した症例は世界的にも比較的少いものと思われるが，最近我々は古竹による眼球のみの刺傷によつて破傷風を引き起し，各種治療を試みたが遂に死亡した1例を経験したので追加報告する。

The authors experienced a case of tetanus caused by the wound on right cornea which was penetrated with decayed bamboo. The case was 5 years and 10 months aged girl and unfortunately she died.

At the 1st examination, a part of iris already prolapsed from corneal wound and anterior chamber was full of blood. Iridectomy and irrigation of anterior chamber were performed, however, coagulated blood was not removed, moreover, further examination to posterior part of the eye was impossible. Seemingly, the wound was clear, then 3 sutures were set on it.
