Patient was a 7 year-old boy whose birth had been so difficult as to necessitate the use of forceps. He visited the Ophthalmic Clinic of tne University of Osaka on Sep. 2, 1953 (at the age of 2 years) and Oct. 28, 1956 (at the age of 5). His right eye might have been injured during instrumental delivery and the vision was 0.15 (v.n.c.). The deeper layers of the cornea were cloudy and silver-gray strands of silk-thread-like material could be found ru-nning from above downward and to be free in the anterior chamber. All these strands attached at each end to the anterior surface of the iris and were independent of the cornea perfectly.
