（16）慢性眼窩筋炎に就て

On the Idiopathic Chronic Orbital Myositis.

緒言

　眼球突出は其の原因が極めて雑多であり，その確定は困難なものが多いのは周知の事である。我々がここに報告するのもその一つである。本症に就ては1903年Gleasonが始めて報告して以来欧米に於ては可なりの報告が見られ，1939年Offretは32例を文献中より集め，更に自己の2例を加えている。夫以後ではFrancois, Rabaey及びEvensの報告によれば24例で合計僅かに56例である。我国では未だ報告を見ない，但し古くは大正2年中西氏が炎性眼窩硬化症として発表されたものが本症ではないかと思われる。最近では，浜田氏及び山田氏，青地氏のExophthalmic ophthal-moplegiaに就ての報告があって本症の一つの型と思われるものが見られるが，「慢性眼窩筋炎」としての報告は見られない。即ち本症は極めて稀な疾患である事が分る。

One case of idiopathic chronic orbital myosititis is reported. An woman, 50 years of age, complained of slowly progressing exophthalmus of more than ten years' duration. The exo-phthalmus was unilateral. The left orbit was opened after Kronlein's method. The left inferior rectus was found to be enormously hypertrophic. Histological examination revea-led marked fibrosis, fatty infiltration, various types of degeneration of muscle fibers, bone formation, patchy infiltration of roundcells, and degeneration of nerve fibers.
