自動他覚的屈折度計ディオプトロンの使用経験

An Automatic Objective Refractive Dioptron TM

緒言

　近年小児眼科を含めて眼科臨床における屈折検査の比重が大きくなりつつある現状で，そのため眼科医の時間を大きく費やすようになつてきた。

　そこで眼科医以外の屈折検査に習熟していない検者が行なつても自動的に正確な値が得られる他覚的屈折検査器ができれば眼科医にとつても有益なわけである。

Dioptron TM (an automatic objective refractor, Coherent Radiation, U. S. A. Cal.) has been evaluated for its reliability, accuracy and prac-tical usefulness. It has been tested at two eye clinics (on 107 patients) , a primary and a middle school (on 43 students, ranging 6 to 15 years of age) and on 597 policemen without refractive error.

It has measured over 75% of adult subjects or patients with "good reliability". In 6-years-old children, however, over 50% of the cases failed measurements because of "poor relia-bility" or "rejection", although the number decreased with the increase in age.
