緒言

　毛様体が持続して収縮している場合，これを調節緊張とするか，調節痙攣とするかについては論議があるが，ここではその論議はしばらくおいて，まず電々公社の，女性職員で，奇異な調節の異常状態を呈し，現在も同じ状態が続いている症例について報告する。

A 27-year-old female has had intermittent oc-ular pain for the past 3 years and recently noted blurred vision. Both eyes were in myopic state at -8 diopters each. The fundus was apparen-tly normal. Instillation of cycloplegics including atropine brought about an emmetropic state only for a few days to return to the myopic state again. Treatment with instillation of cycloplegics was attempted for the duration of 12 months but failed to bring about a lasting cure. This case is reported because of its uniqueness as treatment-resistant spasm of ac-commodation.
