  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

1. Ten cases with orthostatic intracranial hypotension were examined as to the change in retinal arterial pressure induced by standing up after a momentary or 15-minute sustained supine position. Further 10 normal adults were tested by the same method and served as con-trols. In cases with orthostatic intracranial hy-potension, the induced change in retinal arterial pressure was significantly greater when stand-ing up after sustained supine position than after momentary one.

2. The above test was applied to 100 cases with dizziness, vertigo while standing up, head-ache or asthenopia as chief complaints.
