I．緒言

　悪性黒色腫は有色人種には発生頻度が低く，本邦の文献における報告例も比較的少ない。著者らは当教室において昭和34年より昭和43年までの10年間の外来患者総数55,551例の中に眼部より発生した悪性黒色腫を6例経験した。そのうち5例について，その臨床所見および病理組織学的所見について検索し得たので，ここに報告する次第である。なお，今回の報告例における発生部位は，眼瞼1例，毛様体2例，脈絡膜2例である。

Five cases of malignant melanoma have been diagnosed during the past ten-year-period (1959~ 1968) by the authors' clinic. The condition oc-cured in the ciliary body and the choroid in two cases each and in the eyelid in one. The fre-quency of occurrence was estimated at about 0.01 % of all outpatients in the University Hospital, so that it seems that malignant melanoma of the ocular region is a rarity among the Japa-nese. Clinical and histopathological findings are presented on these cases.
