The Clinical Picture of Neuro-Behçet Syndrome

　Behçet病にしばしば精神神経症状を合併することはすでに古くより知られており^1）〜3），その臨床像に関する報告も多い。しかし従来，本症候群，すなわちNeuro—Behçet症候群（以下N-B症候群と略す）の臨床像については精神神経科領域よりの報告が比較的多い。実際にBehçet病に最も多く接するのは眼科医であり，したがつてその出現頻度などの統計は，眼科領域よりなされるのがより正確であろう。われわれは最近10年間における千葉大眼科外来のBehçet病患者を対象としてN-B症候群の臨床像について検討を行なつたのでここに報告する。

A retrospective survey was conducted on the clinical symptomatology of neural form of Beh-çtets' syndrome (Neuro-Behçet) detected in the Department of Ophthalmology during the past ten years.

1. Neuro-Behçet syndrome comprised 14 cases out of a total of 94 cases (15%) diagnosed as Behçet syndrome. There was a definite pre-ponderance of males over females at the ratio of 11 versus 3. The neural involvement was sig-nificantly prone to occur in males, as the Behçet syndrome (94 cases) involved males (51 cases) as well as females (43 cases).
