I．緒言

　pseudoexfoliation of the lens capsule （Dvorak—Theobald）^1）は，1917年にLindberg^2）が慢性緑内障眼の50％に灰色または青灰色のflecksが瞳孔縁にみられたと記載したのを初めとし，1925年にVogt^3）が詳細な記載をした前眼部変状で，緑内障を伴う頻度が高いところから注目されるに至つた。本症には地域差があつて，欧米においてはきわめて多数の臨床的ならびに組織学的な記載報告をみるが，本症の本態，発生および緑内障との関連性については，なお議論の一致を見ない現況にある。わが国においては，和田^4）（1926）の報告を初めとして十数氏^5）〜17）の報告をみるが，比較的少ないようである。しかし注意深く観察すれば，けつしてまれなものではない。

　私は昭和38年1月から43年6月までの5年6カ月間に，本症の22人（29眼）を観察したので，症例を総括して追加報告する。

Pseudoexfoliation of the lens capsule was noted in 22 patients (29 eyes) who visited the Ophthalmology department of Hiroshima Uni-versity during the period of January 1963 to June 1968. The ages of the patients ranged from 49 to 83, and with the exception of 2 cases, all were over 60. There were 14 males and 8 females. There was no difference in side of the affected eye, the right being involved in 7 cases, the left in 8 and both eyes in 7. Goni-oscopic examination was performed on 16 cases,and with the exception of 1, all had wide open angle.
