神経原性変化の混在した慢性進行性外眼筋麻痺の1例

Ocular Myopathy Associated with Neuropathy

I．緒言

　慢性進行性外眼筋麻痺（いわゆるocular my—opathy）は，現在，臨床的観察，筋電図検索，病理組織学的所見より筋原性変化と考えられているが，私は最近骨格筋に神経原性変化が混在したocular myopathyの1症例を経験したので報告する。

A case is reported in whom chronic pro-gressive external ophthalmoplegia (ocular myo-pathy) proved to be accompanied by neural amyotrophy of skeletal muscles.

The patient, a male of 38 years of age, had been suffering from progressive diplopia and bilateral ptosis since 6 years before. The oph-thalmoplegic state was diagnosed as ocular myopathy based upon EMG and biopsy findings made on levator and medial rectus muscles.

While the patient was free of subjective sys-temic symptoms, EMG_studies of skeletal mus-cles revealed the presence of neurogenic pat-tern as well as myogenic ones.
