涙嚢鼻腔吻合術における新考案

An improved surgical device in dacryocy storhinostomy.

I．緒言

　慢性涙嚢炎の手術的療法には，古来涙嚢摘出術が行なわれて来たがこれは術後に流涙の永続する点が短所とされている。一方，Totiは1904年涙嚢と鼻腔を交通させる涙嚢鼻腔吻合術を考案しその後幾多の改良が加えられその有用性を賞讃されている現状である。わが邦においても最近この術式は普及して来ており私達も好んで採用しているが，その間に若干の新考案を試みて好結果を得たのでここに報告する次第である。

A description is given of the authors' own method of dacryocystorhinostomy in which cotton swab immersed in hydrogen peroxide solution instead of conventional epinephrine proved effective for the prevention of hae-morrhage during the operation. Insertion, of a piece of refined devil's tongue into the la-crimal cyst via the nasal cavity also facili-tated the petency of postaperative lacrimal drainage passage.
