  • Look Inside

Clinical findings over 17 cases with hemi-anopsia during the period of 7 years were analysed and following results were obtai-ned:

1) Vascular lesions of the central nervous system was the most frequent cause of he-mianopsia. Tumor stood second in frequency.

2) Signs and symptoms that often serve as clue to the topical diagnosis were analysed and their frequency of occurrence was asses-sed. Wilbrand's prism sign, which is generally taken for an evidence of optic tract lesion, was positive in one case with parietal lesion. There was no case who showed cogwheel movement of the eyeball.
