Ⅰ．緒言

　コンドロイチン硫酸は生体に対して種々の生理作用を有し，膠原病を始め，老化防止，動脈硬化，肝臓疾患，腎臓疾患等の全身的障害から，神経痛，難聴，各種眼疾患と広範な疾病の治療に用いられ優れた効果が認められている。コンドロイチン硫酸製剤として全身的治療には，コンドロン内報と注射が主として使用されているが，眼科的には結膜下注射及び点眼の効果が既に多数報告されている^1）〜18）。コンドロンの点眼は，局所療法としては方法も簡単であり，又患者に投薬して必要に応じて適宜家庭でも点眼出来るもので，従来は1〜3％の注射液をそのまま点眼薬として使用していた。

　今回，コンドロン点眼薬A号（以下コ・A点眼薬と省略する）なる名称で下記の如く血管収縮剤である塩酸ナプアゾリンと防腐剤チメロサールを加えた3％コンドロン液が調製され，その提共を受けたので角膜疾患を主とする2,3の疾患に使用し，認むべき効果を得たのでここに報告する。

A 3% Chondron solution containing napha-zolyne hydrochloride and thimerosal was pre-pared and offered under the name of Chon-dron Ophthalmic Solution A. Therefore it was applied to the following various disea-ses leading to considerable effects.

1) Of 5 cases of corneal herpes, one case showed a remarkable effect, two showed effects, one showed a little, and one showed no change, and it is desirable to use with other sterilizing agents from the early stege of disease of cornea.
