Histopathological findings of Cystoma Orbitopalpebrale

I．緒言

　先天的に胎内発育異常として発生すると言われている眼窩眼瞼嚢胞は，1858年にArlt氏によって始めて報告されたものである。本邦に於いても小柳先生を始めとして数氏により発生解剖学的に，病理組織学的に或は臨床学的に詳細にわたつて研究されているが，その数は少くない。

　我々は最近発育不全の小眼球を伴う眼窩眼瞼嚢胞の1例に遭遇し，これを摘出して組織学的に検討する機会を得たのでここに報告する。

A five-year-old girl who had a cyst on her left inferior eye-lid was clinically and histo-logically examined, and it was diagnosed as cystoma orbitopalpebrale with the micro-phthalmus.

The histological findings were as follows :

1) According to the X-ray examinations of the size of orbits, the orbit was enlarged downward on the side developing the cyst in comparison with the other side.

2) The content of orbit consisted of the upper and lower parts ; the upper part was a substance of the little finger tip size and it seemed to be an eye ball region : the lower part was a bluish-brown colored ping-pong ball sized cyst.
