尿素経口投与の緑内障臨床応用について—易飲性尿素調剤及び使用経験

Oral administration of urea in the glaucoma clinic

I．緒言

　著者は1958年来，血液滲透圧増減と眼圧変化の相関について研究し尿素投与による血液滲透圧上昇と，それによつて惹起される顕著な眼圧下降に着目し，尿素を緑内障臨牀に応用する事について理論的及びその臨牀研究を重ねGalin等と報告した^1）2）。

　従来，高眼圧眼に対する此の種のOsmotherapy^3）は眼圧下降効果の不確実な点，及び一過性な為かえり見られぬ感があつたが尿素は庶糖，萄葡糖，高張食塩水，Sorbitol等の従来のOsmotherapyに比して安全，確実に眼圧を下降しうる事を証明しえた^4）。

Clinical use of oral administration of urea has been studied in the glaucoma clinic, using 1g/kg urea in 10 cases (20 eyes) and 1.5 g/kg urea in one case (two eyes).

Oral urea has been prepared as follows ;

Rp. Urea 20 gm. (Japanese pharmacopeia)Tinctura amara 2 cc. (Japanese phar-macopeia)

Aqua ad 100 cc.

The administration of urea has been done without any difficulty in all the cases.

Three eyes of glaucoma inflammatorium (closed-angle glaucoma ; subacute attack), eight eyes of glaucoma simplex (open angle glaucoma), six eyes of glaucoma second. and five eyes of the control have been tested.
