1) Five cases with total albinism out of four family trees were clinically observed. Two families out of four proved the blood relationship among parents.
2) One hundred and one cases of albinism which had been reported in Japan were ob-served statistically. The results were as follows :
a) Male and female had similar incidence of albinism, whereas ocular albinism affected male more frequently than female. Total albinism were about the half of the reportedcases.
b) Many of these patients showed reduced vision, in particular extremely those with total albinism.
c) Nystagmus was seen in 44 cases out of 53.
