S．C．M．点眼による外傷性白内障治療の2例

Two Cases of Cataracta Traumatica Treated eith "Succus Cinerasia Maritima"

　ある時，某製藥会社の出張所長さんが見え，ポケツトから藥瓶を一つ取出して，「この藥は某氏が（名前は誰でも知つている財界の著名人）アメリカへいらしたとき，これを点眼すると白内障が治るんだという話をきゝ，おや，そんな藥があるのか，じや貰つて帰ろうと，1瓶持つて来た藥なんですが，一つ試して貰えないか，と申出た。

　この某氏は勿論医師ではない。多少狐に鼻をつまゝれたような気もしたが，有害でさえなければ使つて見ようかと受取つておいた。その後，家兎などに点眼して貰つたが，別に刺戟症状も発生しない。そこで下記の2例に試用したわけである。10中9まではナンセンスと思つて始めたのであるが，第1例は吸牧されたという結果になつたので，簡単に報告して見る次第である。

This remedy was instilled in the eye twice a day. In the first case the cataract was ab-sorbed, but in the second case it remained unchanged.

Case 1 : A 13-year old boy had vulnus scle rae et corneae perforans and cataracta trau-matica in the right eye, which were owing the perforating wounds caused by gragments of a window-pane.
